DAILYKENN.com -- An arrest has been made in the shooting death of a Topeka, Kansas woman.
62-year-old Jerrie Lyn Ross was shot dead by a stray bullet* as she stood in her front yard.
29-year-old Tony Reece Dante Baird was arrested after the shooting, reports say.
"He faces charges of first-degree murder, aggravated assault and the reckless criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied vehicle," according to kake.com.
*More accurately, Ross was not killed by a bullet, she was killed with a bullet by the shooter who police believe is Baird. There is a difference. For emphasis, fill in the blank: 'Guns don't kill people, __________s kill people.'
It's akin to saying a saw and hammer built a house.

Police say Ross was innocent (sic) bystander caught in the crossfire of people shooting at each other. Ross' family says she was a real estate and property manager who owned and operated Homes By Ross in Topeka.
