DAILYKENN.com -- Mack Bond was fatally shot moments after he pulled his vehicle next to a parked car.
Carlton Wells, 23, and Danielle Mack, 39, were arrested in the shooting. Wells confessed.
The suspect contends that Bond said something to the couple that he found offensive.
"Wells felt uncomfortable with what the victim said and then shot the victim multiple times," a report says.
In addition to second-degree murder, Wells is also charged with being convicted felon in possession of a hand-gun, according to police.
The shooting occurred in a park in Memphis, Tennessee on July 15, 2020.

Memphis Police have arrested two people in connection with the shooting death of an off-duty Memphis firefighter.
Carlton Wells, 23, and Danielle Mack, 39, were arrested late Friday night in the shooting death of Memphis Firefighter Mack Bond, police said.
Wells is charged with second-degree murder and convicted felon in possession of a hand-gun, according to police.
Mack is charged with tampering with evidence, police said.
The shooting occurred on July 15 in the 4500 block of Raleigh LaGrange.
Wells waived his Miranda Rights and told investigators that he was the man who killed Bond, the affidavit stated.
