A 29-year-old man has been identified as the suspect in a deadly shooting in Greenville, according to investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators got warrants on Lee Nathaniel Washington Jr. for murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and felon in possession, according to Lt. Ryan Flood.
Investigators were called to McGarity Street around 9:15 p.m. Saturday about a gunshot victim. George Adam Slade, 45, of Greenville, was found in front of a home. He was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later.
Investigators said Washington Jr. shot Slade after an altercation.
Washington Jr. was arrested by the Easley Police Department and is being held on unrelated charges.
