DAILYKENN.com --A Catholic priest was assaulted and robbed not far from the Democratic Party's presidential debate.

Reports say four black males carjacked a vehicle and drove it until it ran out of fuel. The four then attacked a Catholic priest, assumed to be white, according to FOX26. The priest was robbed at gunpoint. Reports say one suspect attempted to shoot the priest twice, but his gun would not discharge. (He may have been holding it sideways.)

A police officer was shot when the suspects opened fire on police. One of the suspects was fatally shot. The wounded officer was described as a 29-year-old who has served as an officer for five years. Fox News reported his condition was, "Not out of the woods yet."

Two other suspects were taken into custody. The fourth remains at large.

News reports did not provide names of the victims nor profile them by race. The priest is obviously a male, but the officer's gender was not specifically revealed.

• Takeaways:

Some Catholics are misled to believe they should live in fear of the Ku Klux Klan. It appears that black hoodlums and Muslims impose a more serious threat to Catholics. Hundreds of Catholics, for example, have been murdered in Nigeria by Islamic hate groups.

225 blacks were killed by Islamic hate groups in the past 30 days, according to our count (between August 16 and September 14, 2019) [source]. The number of blacks killed by the Klan during the past 30 days is zero.
