DAILYKENN.com -- Eight months ago Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) predicted the world would end in 12 years. The doom is due to climate change that is caused by humans. As of today, the countdown to doom stands at 11 years and four months.

Some adherents to the climate change cult are resetting the clock; still citing the 12-year deadline. Those who disagree are mislabeled "climate change deniers." There are no climate change deniers.
So what's up with the hysteria?
Doomsday cults have been part of human existence as long as humans have existed. It's an apparent component of the human psyche to believe and fear impending destruction. Such an evolutionary development makes perfect sense. Our ancient ancestors who feared doom sought shelter and survived to pass on their "doom gene." Skeptics ignored the warnings and were eaten by lions or met some other demise.
The far left has a history of tapping into the human psyche to manipulate our thinking. It appears the climate change cult exists for the express purpose of exploiting human psychological traits to damn free-market enterprise.

Students across the globe walked out of class on September 20 as part of a “climate strike” aimed at pursuing “environmental justice.”
The College Fix sent one of its student reporters, Kyle Hooten, to a climate strike at St. Olaf College in Minnesota where roughly 1,000 students vacated class, marched into the town of Northfield, and held a rally.
Many of these students said they believe humanity is on a collision course with climate catastrophe and agree with Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez that there’s only 12 years left before the planet becomes uninhabitable.
