DAILYKENN.com -- About 500 lives were lost to medical errors in the past 48 hours according to astrophysicist Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson. That's the same time frame in which 34 people were killed in two mass shootings.
"Often our emotions respond more to spectacle than to data," he wrote Sunday.
DeGrasse Tyson became a lightning rod of hate after placing the shootings in perspective. He also noted that 300 lives were lost to flu, 250 to suicide, 200 to car crashes, and 40 to homicide via firearms.
While 500 lives are lost to medical errors every 48 hours, 34 are NOT lost to mass shootings every 48 hours.
Leftists have an aversion to data and rational thinking, preferring to use select crises to leverage their agenda of hate.
In the past 48hrs, the USA horrifically lost 34 people to mass shootings.— Neil deGrasse Tyson (@neiltyson) August 4, 2019
On average, across any 48hrs, we also lose…
500 to Medical errors
300 to the Flu
250 to Suicide
200 to Car Accidents
40 to Homicide via Handgun
Often our emotions respond more to spectacle than to data.
