DAILYKENN.com -- Actor Jussie Smollett doubled down on black victimization. Smollett claimed he was attacked by two white males. Few believed his story. That, according to Smollett, seems to be due to racism.
"If I had said it was a Muslim, or a Mexican, or someone black, I feel like the doubters would have supported me much more," he told ABC News.
Smollett's claimed he was attacked while returning from a sandwich shop in Chicago. Security videos recorded all by about sixty seconds of his walk from shop. No attack was recorded.

• Smollett's claim smacks of a publicity stunt, similar to fake claims made by Morton Downey, Jr. About 40 years ago Downey claimed to have been attacked by skinheads in an airport restroom. Downey's claim was never taken seriously. However, had Downey claimed he had been attacked by Hispanics, Muslims, or blacks, his story would have been more credible.
• Meanwhile, the epidemic of black-on-white violence continues with little or no national media coverage.
