DAILYKENN.com -- A person of color convicted of attacking an attractive white woman by dousing her face with acid has been freed from jail, reports say.

Steven Sylvestre was sentenced to life after attacking TV personality Kate Elizabeth Piper.

From wikipedia.com ...

Kate Elizabeth Piper (born 12 October 1983) is an English philanthropist, television presenter and former model from Andover, Hampshire.

Piper was an aspiring model in the mid-2000s. In March 2008, she was attacked with acid by her ex-boyfriend and an accomplice, causing major damage to her face and blindness in one eye. Piper underwent pioneering surgery to restore her face and vision. Both attackers were convicted and given life sentences.

From metro.co.uk ...

The acid attacker who left Strictly star Katie Piper scarred for life has reportedly been released from jail. Steven Sylvestre was jailed for life in 2009 for throwing sulphuric acid into the face of the TV presenter in 2008. Sylvestre, then aged 20, was required to serve a minimum sentence of six years for the attack, and in August prison officials deemed him to be safe to return to public life.
