April 2, 2018 -- Sanity seems to be making a comeback in Sweden where recent polls reveal the nation's patriotic Sweden Democrats are the most popular.

The mainstream media refers to the party as "far-right" and "anti-immigration," hate-speech pejoratives that displace the more accurate term, "patriotic."

The rise is not sudden.

In 2015 announced, "Shock Poll Rates Sweden’s Anti-Immigrant Right-Wing Party as Country’s Largest". The story claimed the Sweden Democrats have neo-Nazi roots, a dangerous contention that lends credibility and validation to neo-Nazis.

According to a poll carried out by YouGov, the Sweden Democrats, a party with its roots in the country’s neo-Nazi movement, now has the support of 25.2 percent of Swedes. Two other parties that spent the 20th and 21st centuries basically trading power with one another — the Moderates and the Social Democrats — took home 21.0 percent and 23.4 percent, respectively. The Social Democrats currently hold power in a minority coalition government.

The anti-immigrant Sweden Democrats are the most popular political party in the Nordic country, according to a new poll.

The YouGov poll showed nearly a quarter – 23.9 per cent – of people said they would vote for the party if an election were held now, meaning its support is at nearly double the level of what it was during 2014’s general election.

Results put the Sweden Democrats ahead of the Social Democrats, who form the larger part of a coalition government under Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, and well ahead of the Moderates. Support for those parties has fallen by nine and eight points, respectively, since 2014, YouGov found.
