November 26, 2015 -- A 22-year-old has been arrested for a violent robbery at an Alabama Walmart.

Jarod Dorsey is accused of attacking a 58-year-old woman in the most recent of a spate of attacks on soft-target women at Walmarts around the nation.

The crime was committed Thursday, Nov. 22 in Birmingham, Ala.

Virtually all of the attack victims were women. To our knowledge no pseudo-feminist group has come forward to denounce the brutal attacks that have taken at least one life.

Some people believe that such violent crimes were the reason Jim Crow laws were established in the South: To protect white people from violent black thugs.

A 22-year-old has been identified and charged in the violent holdup of a woman in the parking lot of a Birmingham Walmart last week.

Birmingham police today announced charges against Jarod Dorsey. He is charged with second-degree robbery and id being held on $75,000 bond. Lt. Sean Edwards said investigators have obtained information on the second suspect, and are following up leads to track him down.

The attack happened outside the Montclair Road store about 1:45 p.m. Thursday. The 58-year-old woman had parked and was about to walk into the store when suspects launched their attack. A witness told the men had followed her first, and were obviously up to no good as they lurked in the parking lot.

Police and witnesses said the woman was slammed to the ground, and then dragged across the pavement. They fled with the woman's purse, and got into a sedan traveling westbound on Montclair Road.

Witnesses called 911 and began to tend to the victim. She was hysterical, witnesses said, had a large knot on her hip and some injuries to her hands. A visit to the hospital Thursday night showed no broken bones. She told police she had just withdrawn the $1,800 from Wells Fargo for her Christmas shopping.

Police later that day released photos and video of the two suspects. They didn't say where they found Dorsey, or when he was arrested. "Thanks to all the brave citizens that called in and gave us tips regarding the suspect's identity and whereabouts,'' Edwards said in a prepared statement. "This is proof that our citizens are not afraid to get involved and their support is necessary in when fighting crime."
