September 7, 2015 -- Police are searching for a second individual in the carjacking and murder of 81-year-old Lee Kendrick.

Kendrick's body was found in an abandoned apartment earlier this month. He had been fatally shot.

The crime occurred in Jackson, Miss. The victim was from Pearl, Miss.

Jackson police said 24-year-old Loren Shell turned herself in at the Jackson Police Department on Saturday afternoon.

Authorities said they arrested and charged Shell with capital murder and auto theft in the death investigation of 81-year-old Lee Kendrick of Pearl.

Authorities said Shell has been taken to the Hinds County Detention Center.

Police said Kendrick's stolen silver Buick was found in Jefferson County.

Detectives are now looking for Walter Lee Young, police said he is wanted for capital murder and auto theft.

On Friday evening Jackson police released new video in the investigation hoping to get more information about Shell.

The video was taken after police discovered Kendrick's body.

Police said the woman getting out of the car at a gas station was Loren Shell and the car that she got out of was the same silver Buick that belonged to Kendrick.

Kendrick was the older man who was missing from Pearl and was found dead at the Cedarstone Apartments in Jackson on Wednesday night.
