September 9, 2015 -- The thug who killed a man attempting to thwart a carjacking will have to wait for sentencing.

Kendall Harrison, 21, fatally shot Harry "Mike" Ainsworth when the Good Samaritan intervened. Ainsworth was killed while his two small children watched.

Harrison was 17 when the crime was committed, allowing him to avoid the mandated life sentence for second-degree murder.

The convicted killer reportedly told Ainsoworth's family yesterday, "I didn't rob nobody. I didn't kill nobody."

Harrison didn't kill nobody on Jan. 25, 2013 near New Orleans, La. His sentencing was delayed one week.

• The predatory left has convinced Americans that white people have a long history of violence targeting black people. That false reality is deeply embedded in our national conscience.

In reality our nation has a long history of suffering under the epidemic of pandemic violent crime.

The Bureau of Justice Statistics (US Dept. of Justice) reported that 52.2 percent of homicides were committed by blacks; nearly all by black males ages 18 to 49 who comprise about 4 percent of the nation's population.

The New Orleans man who killed a Good Samaritan who tried to thwart a carjacking in Algiers Point will have to wait until next week to learn whether he'll spend the rest of his life in prison for the crime.

Kendall Harrison, 21, who lived in Harvey when he was arrested, was scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday (Sept. 8) for the second-degree murder of Harry "Mike" Ainsworth, who was shot in the chest and died in front of two of his children on an Algiers Point lawn on the morning of Jan. 25, 2013.

Because Harrison was 17 years old at the time of the crime, he won't face a mandatory sentence of life in prison, the automatic punishment for second-degree murder in Louisiana. The U.S. Supreme Court in 2012 barred "mandatory" life sentences for juveniles who kill before they reach age 18.

Harrison, who did not appear in court Tuesday, has maintained his innocence.

"I said it before, and I'll say it again because it's the truth. I didn't rob nobody. I didn't kill nobody," Harrison told Ainsworth's family on July 8.

Ainsworth, 44, the father of three children, was shot to death while trying to stop a carjacking in his Algiers Point neighborhood. He was attempting to rescue Anita Hedgepeth, whom Harrison was carjacking.

He still faces trial on charges of obscenity and sexual battery, both of which he received while in jail.
