Vicksburg Police are conducting a homicide investigation into the death of a 69-year-old woman.

They said Sharen Wilson’s body was discovered in the 1400 block of Martin Luther King Blvd. near the old Kuhn Memorial hospital on Saturday. We’re told her home on Drummond Street was broken into and she was taken from that location.

Investigators received a call from the Leland Police Department about a stolen weapon that was reported in May in Vicksburg. Leland Police pulled over 20-year-old Akeem McCloud in a 2012 Nissan Murano for reckless driving. Officials said 33-year-old Raphael McCloud was also in the car with Akeem. Raphael is Akeem’s uncle, according to police.

Both are being held for questioning. Police said the Murano was stolen from the victim. Charges against both men are pending at this time.
