March 24, 2015 -- Steven Carnine, a Los Angeles middle school teacher, was removed from his class and slapped with a lawsuit.

His crimes?

First, he had the audacity to buck politically correct cultural Marxism and, second, he told the truth.

Specifically, Carnine uttered these words:

"That guy was a thug and got what he deserved."

He was making reference to Michael Brown. Brown was the gentle giant who was shot dead in Ferguson, Missouri as he attacked a police officer in August.

A third more grievous offense was speaking the truth while black students were in the classroom.

Parents and students rallied behind the teacher, demanding he be restored to his class.

Parents and students rallied Monday in defense of a Los Angeles middle school teacher accused of making racist remarks in the classroom.

Eighth grade teacher Steven Carnine has been removed from the classroom at Paul Revere Charter Middle School and Magnet Center after a lawsuit filed on behalf of a mixed-race student March 18 against the district alleged Carnine used the N-word in class, NBC Los Angeles reported.

"That guy was a thug and got what he deserved," the suit claims Carnine said to students when a classroom discussion about the Civil War turned to Ferguson, Mo. and the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown Jr.

Supporters chanted "Bring him back!" and held signs that read #SaveMrCarnine and "Save Carnine" outside the school in Brentwood, Calif. Then hundreds of students left class in protest later in the day, according to NBC.

  1. I am glad to see that there are still sane people left in this world who would fight for the rights of teachers who actually tell the truth to their students. He deserves his job back! We should fire those teachers who brainwash our kids to "recognize" non-existent privileges that provide no benefits whatsoever but rather a constant reminder of having to feel guilty for being born white.
