February 20, 2015 -- 42-year-old Otto Thomas informed 911 dispatchers she shot her boyfriend to prevent him from hitting her again.

The boyfriend, Larry Tuttle, was a Dallas police officer.

Physical evidence does not support the woman's claim of physical abuse.

What's more, it appears the woman had a grudge against police officers.

In 2012 she falsely accused another police officer of making unsolicited sexual advances (or "flirting" in the case of Emmett Till) in a $1-million lawsuit, which she lost.

When police arrives at Thomas' apartment they found both Thomas and Tuttle dead. Thomas had shot Tuttle, then killed herself.

They also found Thomas' six-year-old daughter who had not been shot in the apartment.

The little girl was also with her 15-year-old brother, Thomas' son, when he shot himself in the head two years earlier. Thomas was known to be mentally disturbed.

The crime was reported Feb. 11, 2015 in Universal City, Tex.
