Her father died at 77. Now at age 76 daughter Jane is pondering her own mortality with the gravity that all us bear.

In a moment of introspection Jane Fonda wrote a blog post titled Crying.

"I have become so wonderfully, terribly aware of time, of how little of it I have left; how much of it is behind me, and everything becomes so precious," she wrote.

The article has since been removed. Nonetheless it reveals the morose, albeit subtle, side of the star.

We wonder if the water-proof mascara-wearing Fonda will ever find a sagacious moment of confession for the pain and suffering she cause when, as a winsome youth, her betrayal of her nation and countrymen in arms branded her as a  traitor.

The Oscar winner acknowledged that it's not just the sad things she cries over. She writes about attending friend Kerry Washington's baby shower and how emotional it was to see the pregnant actress.

"I hadn't seen Kerry since she was pregnant and as soon as I saw her with her gorgeous belly I starting crying," shared the actress.

"Then Kerry's mother spoke, giving words of wisdom to Kerry and the rest of us about how to raise a baby to be a happy, fully realized, person. I started crying again," explained Fonda.

The "Coming Home" star reflected, "Maybe because I'm older my heart is wider open, like a net that wants to catch all the things that matter.

"With age, I am able to appreciate the beauty in small things more than when I was younger perhaps because I pay attention more," continued Fonda.

"I seem to be super sensitive to people's joy and pain. I ache for unwanted children in the world, for polars bears, and elephants, and Monarch butterflies, and dolphins, gorillas and chimpanzees."

The actress then joked how she would "only wear waterproof mascara from now on" due to all her weepiness. Since posting the letter, it is unclear why the star has since decided to remove it from her website.
