Liberal apologists counter that her narrative was correct.
Thanks to Mika Brzezinski at MSNBC I now have new ploy next time I debate on TV.
When a liberal starts spouting off supposed glitches in my argument, I'll reply, "Yeah! But the basic narrative is correct."
Think I'll get away with it?
Chances are, no, I won't get away with it.
Leftists are sticklers for details, particularly when dealing with conservatives. But when a leftist is in the hot seat -- say, oh, Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis -- the only thing that matters is the general narrative. The actual details of discrepancies in Davis' talking points are tossed aside.
Davis is known for her abhorrent views on killing babies before they are born.
"...so, she just exaggerated," concludes Brzezinski.
