Those groups are:
• Project Veritas
The production organization goes undercover to video record liberals in their natural habitat. Project Veritas gained notoriety for its hidden-camera investigative approach. Recently the group produced a damning video of Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis who was caught in lies that will likely derail her candidacy. The Department of Labor is demanding months of financial documents from the group, a move that is being compared to IRS targeting of conservative groups nationwide. Project Veritas is led by James O'Keefe.
• Friends of Abe
This 1,500-member organization of Hollywood conservatives is under attack by the IRS. The organization protects the identity of its members in an industry controlled by leftists. The IRS is attempting to force Friends of Abe to release names of members. Key members of the group are Gary Sinise (founder), Kelsey Grammer and Jon Voight.
• Dinesh Dsouzza (Rocky Mountain Pictures)
Dinesh D'Souza, a conservative commentator and best-selling author, has been indicted by a federal grand jury for arranging excessive campaign contributions ($20,000) to a candidate for the U.S. Senate. Dsouzza was the force behind the highly acclaimed and highly critical documentary, 2016: Obama's America. The movie was distributed by the conservative Rocky Mountain Pictures in Utah.
The message is clear: Conservative groups that attempt to expose the wrong-doings of leftist political candidates, politicians, and organizations will be punished by Democratic-controlled government officials. Considering the leftists will likely control the federal government going forward, the pattern could have chilling effects on free speech and the flow of truthful information in the future.
