DAILYKENN.com -- Apparently Janet Jackson had another wardrobe malfunction of sorts when she began wearing Muslim-style clothing. Then, again, maybe she was stylishly hiding her Oprah figure.

What we do know is this: Clashdaily.com is reporting that Jackson is abandoning her marriage to her 42-year-old billionaire-Muslim husband. Jackson is (gasp) 51.

Janet Jackson Opens Up About Being Married To A ‘Religion Of Peacer’ – It Ain’t Pretty

What? Different values matter in a marriage?

Janet Jackson has split from her marriage to Wissam Al Mana, and a family confidant is talking. The source spoke to US Magazine and said that Jackson ‘felt like a prisoner’.

Is that a surprise?

There is a distinct difference in the role of women in Islamic cultures and those in the West.

For a fiercely independent woman like Jackson, the culture shock must have been truly shocking.

The source describes Jackson as ‘sheltered’ and isolated from her former confidants.

During her five-year marriage to Qatari business tycoon Wissam Al Mana — she confirmed their separation in May — Jackson “felt hidden from family and friends,” a Jackson family confidant says in the new issue of Us Weekly. “Her life was sheltered.”

And emotionally taxing. According to her brother Randy, the billionaire, 42, verbally abused his 51-year-old wife, who welcomed son Eissa in January. Claims the Jackson source, “Janet felt like a prisoner.”
