DAILYKENN.com -- A 48-year-old woman was shot three times while in a vehicle with her husband.
The alleged killer says he fired at the couple because their vehicle looked like a police car, reports say.
A woman was fatally shot and her husband injured in a freeway shooting that occurred on Interstate 15 on Saturday morning, reported KTNV news. At about 9:30 a.m., a gunman, identified as 29-year-old Kenneth McDonald opened fire on a vehicle with two occupants – a husband and wife. (map)
The wife, identified as 48-year-old Tracy Donahue was struck three times. She was transported for emergency surgery however she died while at the hospital. The husband suffered gunshot wounds to his arm and stomach. He is expected to make a full recovery. Police tracked McDonald to a CVS near Las Vegas Boulevard and Windmill Lane where he attempted to sexually assault one of the employees.
McDonald was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of murder, attempted murder with deadly weapon and several counts of shooting into an occupied vehicle. More charges may be added as the case continues forward.
