DAILYKENN.com -- We should have seen it coming.

Using the rash of fatal police shootings of young black males, the Dept. of Justice has moved to create a database of citizens killed by cops.

The move was announced by Attorney Loretta Lynch.

The problem? The move appears to be agenda driven. The feds appear to be using police shootings as a pretext to create the database that will, we predict, create an excuse to meddle with local, county, and state police departments.

While those agencies may not be literally replaced with a federal police force, federal government bureaucrats can be expected to use the collected data as an excuse to impose restrictive law enforcement codes. Coupled with a punish-and-reward system of selectively providing federal funds, the move will be an effective federalization of the nation's police departments.
