A judge Saturday denied bail for Antoine Davis, 30, who faces robbery and aggravated battery with a firearm charges in the Sept. 6 shooting in the 7000 block of South California Avenue.
Police and members of the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force arrested Davis about 4:15 p.m. Friday outside his home in the 6800 block of South Washtenaw Avenue, according to police — less than a half-mile from the scene of the shooting. It wasn't immediately known why the fugitive task force was involved in the arrest.
One of Davis' relatives recognized him in the video footage of the incident released to media outlets, including the Tribune, and contacted police, prosecutors said.
