DAILYKENN.com -- Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has issued marching orders to Britain's Prime Minister.
Sturgeon insists that PM Theresa May allow European nationals to stay in Britain, even if they are not British citizens.
Sturgeon said it is the humane thing to do.
Altruism may not be Sturgeon's motivation. European nationals living in Britain tend to support the nation's largest far-left Labour Party and Scotland's far-left Scottish National Party. The Scottish National Party advocates misguided 'Democratic Socialism' policies.
The Scottish First Minister, who wants independence from the United Kingdom, urged the Prime Minister to “do the humane thing” and confirm that the EU nationals can stay.
Theresa May has repeatedly attempted to reassure EU nationals currently living in the UK, but she has not ruled out the possibility of deportations in the future.
In a thinly veiled advert for Scottish independence, Sturgeon bemoaned the fact she does not have the power to give EU nationals guarantees of permanent residency in Britain.
Speaking at a special Scottish Cabinet meeting in front of an audience of EU nationals living in Scotland, Sturgeon said: “It really breaks my heart that as First Minster, as the elected leader of this country,
"I am not able to sit here and give you the guarantees and the certainty that you want.
