DAILYKENN.com -- Personally, I have no problem with ethnic and racial groups celebrating their cultures. That, in my opinion, is the essence of genuine diversity.
It's called 'freedom of association.'
Black people have the inherent right to their own neighborhoods, schools, affinity groups, churches, and expos.
Black Expo in Indianapolis is an example. The Expo is scheduled to open July 7, 2016.
I do have a problem with the far left objectifying ethnic and racial groups as leverage to advance the cultural Marxist agenda.
I also have a problem with racial discrimination.
As black people have an inherent right to free association, white people also have that same right. Unfortunately, the right of free association for whites has been undermined by the media and government. While the media stereotypes white people who form their own affinity groups as "racists," the government imposes laws that force white people to associate with non-whites.
Ask Hoosiers when the White Expo will occur, and most will point you to the State Fair.
The focus of the fair, however, is not on race. It also lacks the intense security required by Black Expo.
The Black Expo does include an "All White Affair." The after-party event, however, is for black people wearing white clothing.
