DAILYKENN.com -- Police say an ex-convict went on a shooting spree in Phoenix, Arizona. Three persons were killed and another was left in critical condition.

Authorities said Daterryn McBride, 28, committed the crimes at a Motel 6 lobby.

Dead are Brian Harris, 44; and Robert Sykes, 44. In extremely critical condition is a 25-year-old motel employee.

After the shooting reports say the thug carjacked a vehicle from a couple with a baby, forcing the man into the car.

McBride served 7½ years in the Arizona Department of Corrections on aggravated-assault and misconduct-involving-weapons charges in a 2004 case and was sentenced to another two years on a 2012 charge of misconduct involving weapons. He was released from DOC custody in August 2014.

McBride killed himself after a police chase.
