The truth is that a black male named Knowledge Paulus Mandlazi murdered five white people in South Africa.
The fiction is that white people are the perennial oppressors of black victims.
Mandlazi, 26, described his four-month crime spree as "going to work."
Billy Mothle, of the high court in Pretoria, sentenced him to a total of five life sentences and an additional total of 195 years on a string of charges, according to IOL.co.az.

The convict had earlier been convicted of another murder, bringing the death toll to six. The racist crime spree, however, didn't attract the global media attention as did the murder of nine black parishioners in South Caroline last year.
Mandlazi and an accomplice terrorized the city of Brits, South Africa in 2014. Brits is located west of Pretoria.
• Albertus Venter (circa 1840) was the first white farmer in the area. He was soon joined by others. The first white baby was born in 1846.
A population center began to develop around a railway station and in 1924 the town was founded on a farm owned by Johannes Nicolaas Brits.
White innovation and prosperity attracted blacks and today Brits is a small city with a population over 50,000; about 70 percent of whom are black.
