Why Racism is Wrong | Fatal Flaws of White Nationalism | Why White Supremacy is Wrong | Why Antisemitism Is Dumb

March 11, 2016

DAILYKENN.com -- Godwin’s law says, “. . . sooner or later someone will compare someone or something to Hitler or Nazism.”

To experience Godwin’s law at work, engage any leftist in a conversation about presidential candidate Donald Trump. The knee-jerk, Pavlovian-dog reaction will most always be a comparison of Trump to Adolf Hitler.

Overground Railroad:
Let them escape white racism and return to Mexico!

Some Hollywood liberals have even asserted that viewing Trump’s presidential campaign is no different from watching a dictator come to power. The reference is, of course, to Hitler’s rise in 1930s Germany.

Oh, the hypocrisy of it all.

A recent conversation on ABC’s The View demonstrated Godwin’s law. (Godwin, by the way, refers to Mike Godwin, an attorney and author who first observed the law in 1990 as he read through debates on the Internet.)

Among complaints rendered by the regressive left:• Donald Trump didn’t immediately disavow the Ku Klux Klan.

The late U.S. Sen. Robert Byrd was a Klan leader and organizer during his 20s and 30s. It took the Senator about 20 years to finally renounce Klansterism. Still, the regressive left reveres Byrd as an icon to be honored.

In the early 1940s Robert Byrd organized the Sophia, West Virginia chapter of the Ku Klux Klan. Byrd’s Klan consisted of about 150 of his friends and associates.

Byrd was later elected Exalted Cyclops — the highest position in the local Klan — by a unanimous vote.

In a 1944 letter penned to Mississippi Senator Theodore G. Bilbo (D-Miss), Byrd wrote, “I shall never fight in the armed forces with a negro by my side … Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.”

Two years later Byrd reaffirmed his devotion to the Klan. In a letter to a Grand Wizard he wrote, “The Klan is needed today as never before, and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia and in every state in the nation.”

So why did Byrd leave the KKK? Was it due to deeply felt convictions? A change of heart? Was there a moral epiphany that changed his mind?

No. Byrd said he left because belonging to the Klan inhibits “your operations in the political arena.”

Hillary Clinton praised the Klanster when she was Secretary of State.

Unlike Byrd, Trump was never a member of the Klan or any other racist organization.

• Trump is accused of recruiting white supremacist groups.

Listen carefully. The accusation is that his “message” is recruiting the groups.

Using liberal logic (a misnomer) we could contend that the regressive left is recruiting radical Islam. It’s in their message.

When was the last time you heard a liberal Hispanic politician renounce La Raza? The very name of the group — The Race — implies racism.

• Trump is an anti-woman misogynist, they say.

When was the last time you heard a feminidiot immediately denounce Islam?

Islam is, in fact, the world’s oldest, largest, and deadliest misogynist hate group. Since Sept. 11, 2001, Muslims have committed 27,951 documented terror attacks. Still, the international hate group is embraced by the regressive left.

• How do they get away with it?

They apply the Hegelian Dialectic.

The Hegelian Dialectic occurs when one party controls both sides of a conversation or debate with the objective of creating a predicted conclusion. It is derived from the musings of the late German philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770 to 1831).

It’s a strategy the regressive left has employed for years. Typically they will determine a topic of discussion, allow a patsy to offer a defense, then overwhelm the conversation with leftist nonsense.

Note, for example, how frequently liberal-dominated news talk shows include one or two conservatives to participate on a discussion panel. The liberals will set up a strawman argument and predictably knock it down without the benefit of thoughtful cross-examination.

• The outcome is nearly always a false equivalence.

A false equivalence is “a logical fallacy which describes the situation where there is a logical and apparent equivalence, but when in fact none exist.”

Note, for example, that liberals contend the deportation of illegal aliens is the equivalent of hording Jews onto boxcars to be carted off to death camps where they are fatally gassed before being chucked into ovens for cremation.

Do you see the equivalence? Nor do I.

Were it true — that deportation is the equivalent of extermination — then every nation on earth is controlled by Nazis because every nation deports illegal aliens.

There is another law that I call Kenn’s Law #2: “If liberals were logical they wouldn’t be liberals.”
