Why Racism is Wrong | Fatal Flaws of White Nationalism | Why White Supremacy is Wrong | Why Antisemitism Is Dumb

DAILYKENN.com -- An initiative is underway to protect the Mississippi state flag. The flag has come under attack by Confederatephobes who misrepresent the iconic symbols as "racist."

According to MyDixie.net:

The goal of Ballot Initiative 58 is to place the preservation of our historic 1894 flag in the hands of the voters in a November 2018 election. According to the Secretary of State, we must obtain 86,183 certified signatures of registered voters, with at least 17, 237 coming from each of the 5 congressional districts that existed in the year 2000. Once on the ballot and approved by popular vote, the flag of 1894 would be protected and sanctioned by an amendment to our Mississippi State Constitution.
