DAILYKENN.com -- A trial for a murder committed in 2003 has come to an conclusion. Michael Hoffler was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Hoffler killed Christopher Drabik in 2003.
Reports say the victim had been scheduled to witness against Hoffler in a drug case.
According to timesunion.com:
Hoffler's conviction by a jury in the 2003 murder of Drabik was reversed by the Appellate Division of state Supreme Court in June 2008 and justices ordered a new trial. The basis was a rare glitch in courtroom procedure: Potential jurors were not given the "oath of truthfulness'' by the county's commissioner of jurors.
