DAILYKENN.com -- Watch and learn.
Donald Trump set aside conventional politicizing to dominate the lead in the Republican primaries. His key? Creating media buzz.
That marketing strategy is paying off in South Carolina, according to polls.
CBS News ranks Trump in first place with 42% followed by Ted Cruz with 20% and Marco Rubio with 15%.
Rubio's best chance comes March 15 when Florida Republicans go to the polls. That's about two weeks after the March 1 primary when Republicans in Cruz's Texas vote in their primary.
My worries that Trump would drop out of the race now seem to be unfounded. The concern that his pro-American views are mere rhetoric won't be tested until after he is in the White House.
