DAILYKENN.com -- The next Star Wars movie will prominently feature gay actors, if director J.J. Abrams has his say and way.
He wants to array of characters to look “the way the world looks,” he said.
That poses a problem for liberals who think the world looks racist with privileged white males dominating everything.
More accurately we suppose Abrams meant he wants the screen play to look the way liberals want the real world to look.
J.J. Abrams wants the Star Wars universe to represent the society we live in today.
Abrams said he's open to the idea of a gay Star Wars character in the next films.
"When I talk about inclusivity its not excluding gay characters, it's about inclusivity so of course," he told reporters at the US-Ireland Alliance Oscar Wilde Awards on Thursday. "To me the fun of Star Wars is exploring the possibilities, so it seems insanely narrow minded to say that there wouldn't be a homosexual character in that world."
The director, 49, said he's always been focused on inclusivity in the franchise and making the films "look the way the world looks" – even when it came to casting.
