DAILYKENN.com -- A 49-year-old elementary school teacher was arrested in Scott County, Indiana for possession of meth and other drug related offenses.

Feb 28, 2016 11:18 PM

Laura Nowling, 47, is a teacher at Austin Elementary.

Government school teachers are government agents entrusted with the care of children at taxpayer expense as surrogate parents.

From the Indianapolis Star:

[Sgt. Jerry] Goodin said police then went to Nowling's work after learning she was possibly in possession of a controlled substance.

"We're hammering a lot of drug dealers and drug users in this county the last four or five months," Goodin said Thursday.

He said Thursday's arrest was fairly routine.
