DAILYKENN.com -- Walmart and other discount stores seems to be prime locations for thieves seeking soft targets.

Last month an unnamed man was assaulted from behind as he walked through a Walmart parking lot in California, Maryland.

Police believe Donald L. Warrick attacked the white man with an unknown object, then stole $300 from his pocket.

Warrick faces 92 years and two months and/or a maximum fine of $18,000, reports say.

The crime was reported Jan. 9, 2016.

According to court documents, "As he got to a cement island in he heard people inside the vehicle, he heard someone say 'what's up now m-[expletive]' and 'I got you now m-[expletive]'."

The victim said while he was on the ground the suspect reached in his pocket and stole $300. The suspect then lifted his shirt to show him he had a gun in his waistband.

"He (witness) observed the black male (Warrick) punch a white male (victim) at least one time," court documents stated.
