Euric Cain, 21, is accused of shooting Peter Gold, a medical student who intervened when he saw Cain (allegedly) dragging a woman down a New Orleans street at night. Cain would have executed Gold, but his gun jammed, authorities believe. The attack was captured on video (see below).
Less than 24 hours after the attack Cain is accused of kidnapping, carjacking, and raping a couple.

A man and woman were getting into a parked car in the early morning hours of Nov. 21 near St. Philip and Henriette Delille streets in Treme when an armed man, identified as Euric Cain, 21, got into the back seat of their car and demanded money and credit cards, according to a report obtained by Nola.com | The Times-Picayune.
Cain ordered the woman to drive the car to an abandoned school near Abundance and Press streets in the Desire neighborhood, the report said.
The suspect ordered the couple to get into the back seat of the car. Police say Cain raped the woman orally, vaginally and with his fingers. The report said Cain also forced the man to perform oral sex on him at gunpoint.
When he was done, Cain told the victims to get out of the car and threatened to kill them if they called police. Cain drove away in their car, according to the report. The couple called police from a nearby store.
New Orleans police booked Cain Wednesday with two counts of first-degree rape, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, two counts of armed robbery and two counts of carjacking in connection with the incident.
