Reports say Moore and two teens drove to Milan, Indiana in 2012 for the express purpose of burglarizing homes. One of those was the home of Nancy Hershman. The victim was fatally shot during the home invasion.
The sentencing was reported Dec. 21, 2015.
According to a 2013 news report:
Allison Moore, 22, and two 16-year-olds from Colerain Township were arrested at their homes without incident Saturday.
Police said Moore and the teens were driving around on Dec. 30 and decided to break into a home after entering Indiana. Once inside, they were apparently confronted by Hershman, and during the confrontation, Hershman was shot and killed, police said.
A relative of one of the suspects said one of the teens was from Indiana and the trio went there to rob a drug dealer. He also said the gun belongs to one of the teen’s fathers but Moore pulled the trigger.
Neighbors said they knew Moore was having financial problems after being fired from her job at Burger King last December.
“Honestly, my mouth dropped. I couldn't imagine her robbing someone, let alone murdering someone. It just doesn't seem like her,” Stacy Liggett said.
