DAILYKENN.com -- William Lewis Payton, 41, was charged with the murder of 27-year-old Tonya Lynn Amerson.

Amerson's body was found behind Target shopping center in Huntsville, Ala.

Huntsville police charged the boyfriend of the woman found dead behind a Target shopping center in Jones Valley early Friday morning with her murder.

William Lewis Payton, 41, of Huntsville was arrested Friday night and charged with the murder of Tonya Lynn Amerson, 27, according to Huntsville police. He is being held in the Madison County Jail without bond.

Huntsville police responded to the report of a body behind Valley Bend Shopping Center in Jones Valley at around 1:40 a.m.

Police haven't released how Amerson was killed.

At the time of the homicide, Payton was on probation for a 2014 drug conviction.
