Huntsville police have determined that the woman found dead in Pinhook Creek Wednesday morning was murdered. And a suspect is in custody.
Police found the body of 57-year-old Peggy Lynn Chambers Teichmiller behind a home around the 23000 block of 8th Avenue. After investigators ruled it a homicide, they were led to Ryon Oneal Russell, 22, as a suspect. Police obtained enough evidence to charge him with murder.
Russell was booked into the Madison County Metro Jail Wednesday evening. Bond has not been set at this time.
Teichmiller's cause of death is not yet clear.
