Curiosity, however, pointed me to Google to see if any credible news source confirmed Jones' musings.
It turns out Jones was not only dead-on accurate -- sans the part about fluoride in our water turning our brains to mush -- but was four years late.
In 2011 Forbes.com reported that California's legislature was pondering plans to ban single-family homes. The excuse, the report said, was global warming. The specific target was the [mostly white] "suburban fringe."
Citing anti-greenhouse gas legislation, the Forbes article pointed us to the Metropolitan Transit Commission’s (MTC) new “sustainable communities strategy.”
Translated into vernacular English, that means the Marxist goons that control our infrastructure want to cram us into sardine-can housing projects like the one pictured above. Those who object will be vilified as polluting racists.
It was that year -- 2011 -- that a petition was posted at Change.org opposing single family zoning because big, single-family houses cause too many children and that leads to overpopulation. The ignorance could be excused if the author slept through his sex ed classes, but ignoring the contribution of 20-million illegal aliens to overpopulation is without excuse.
In 2012 The Wall Street Journal took note that municipalities in California were abiding by the stringent 20-homes-per-acre policy. That compacts residents into a space that, traditionally, would sustain four single-family homes. The nutty nerds behind such urban engineering fail to consider that such policies compel residents to seek homes far beyond the reach of uber-liberal city fathers, er, uh, city persons, increasing the drive time and the subsequent green-house gasses spewed from Chevy Suburbans.
Only three percent of new housing in the Bay Area could be built beyond the "urban fringe," the report said. That bit of illogic would literally force family beyond the fringe. Imagine commuting to San Francisco from Nevada or Oregon. Or, worse yet, imagine California's most productive residents simply leaving the state altogether.
Fleeing to Washington state would offer little relief.
The Seattle Times warned us earlier this month that mayor Ed Murray is concocting plans to eliminate single-family zoning. That is, all new residential construction would be multi-family units. That's assuming, of course, that the use of the word 'family' has not yet been banned by the lunatic left.
The good news is: New Seattle residents get to live in huge homes. The bad news is: They will have to share their big new houses with 9,000 other people.
While Californians are being cramped into government communes to eliminate pollution, their progressive soulmates in Seattle are being downsized to grapple with racism.
A daft letter from the mayor's advisory committee on housing said, “Seattle (single-family) zoning has roots in racial and class exclusion and remains among the largest obstacles to realizing the city’s goals for equity and affordability.”
(Did I write daft letter? Sorry. I meant draft letter.)
“We can still be a city for everyone,” the report added, “but only if we give up our outdated ideal of every family living in their own home...”
Those with real eyes realize that the end game has nothing to do with ending pollution or snuffing out racism. The end objective is to collectivize Americans. The most formidable barrier to that objective has always been the traditional family.
If this anti-family trend continues we can expect the U.S. Supreme Court to legalize homosexual marriages in every state.
Say what? Did I miss something?
That strategy should be apparent: Discourage traditional families by eliminating their natural habitat; single-family homes.
Tragically, the social engineers who concoct such nonsense fail to acknowledge that the most efficient social structure known to humanity is a family unit in which the husband-father assumes responsibility for providing food and shelter, the wife-mother tends the needs of child rearing, and children mature in a loving environment that constitutes a community that is infinitely superior to communism.
Note to Alex Jones: Consider marketing a brand of toothpaste that contains no fluoride. You make a killing. You're welcome.
