Why Racism is Wrong | Fatal Flaws of White Nationalism | Why White Supremacy is Wrong | Why Antisemitism Is Dumb

July 11, 2015

DAILYKENN.com -- The county NAACP president said it was a mere "prank."

A mob of black youths terrorized a Georgia Walmart and were charged with rioting, damage to property, and street gang activity.

Gwenette Westbrooks said the first five to be arrested are not being treated fairly. She wants their bonds reduced, noting the suspects remain in jail.

"These were just young kids, I'm looking at it as a prank which it should not have happened but it did happen but these type of charges is not acceptable," she said

District Attorney David Cooke disagreed, issuing this statement:

"I take both public safety and any decision to indict under the gang statute very seriously," Cooke stated in an e-mail. "We will take as much time as necessary to identify the suspects and determine what charges are appropriate in each case. I can assure you that as we move forward, I will review all of the evidence and make sure any charges that are brought will be based solely on that evidence. Decisions about whether gang charges will be brought against anyone will be made after a careful review of the evidence."
• What to expect? More arrests.

Apologists for black rascality and special privilege will insist the five are victims of white racism and discrimination. They will complain that white teens are seldom prosecuted for similar behavior.

The Macon-Bibb County Branch of the NAACP says the charges against five people arrested for vandalism at a Macon Walmart are too severe.

Gwenette Westbrooks, president of the organization, said the parents of the suspects reached out to her asking for help.

The five are charged with felonies including rioting, damage to property, and street gang activity. They all remain in jail.

"Their bonds are too high, and we're asking for their bonds to be reduced and we're asking for them to be released, they're not being treated fairly," Westbrooks said.

"It's not gang-related," Westbrooks added. "Just because more than three people are together doesn't mean they're in a gang."

Westbrooks said she has talked to District Attorney David Cooke, but she's not satisfied with the conversation they had.

Cooke issued a statement on the case Wednesday.

Wesbrooks says, "These were just young kids, I'm looking at it as a prank which it should not have happened but it did happen but these type of charges is not acceptable."

Bibb County Sheriff David Davis says based on the evidence, the charges are appropriate.

"You have a large group of people who assembled and came together for the purpose of going in and creating mischief in a store in which a number, a small few of those individuals actually did damage in the store," Davis said.

The bond for suspect Kharron Nathan Green, 17, is set at $11,200, according to the county jail website. Twenty-year-old Lekelvin Lamont Renfroe's bond is set at $5,900. Bonds have not been set for Hajj-Malik Markaveli Renfrone, 18, Vashaun Chandler Rozier, 18, and a 16-year-old juvenile.

Dozens more are expected to be arrested in the case in which 40 to 50 teens stormed the Zebulon Road Walmart after midnight on June 28 running down aisles and pulling merchandise off of the shelves.

They caused more than $2,000 worth of damage, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

  1. White teens are seldom prosecuted for such behavior because they seldom display such behavior. Another thing is that these "teens" are old enough to be facing adult charges and most were actually adults and the bails listed are far from being too high.

What's next for the NAACP? Asking that they be given reparations and the key to the city? Negro, please....
