As is, 22-year-old Christopher Lane will live as a mere memory in the lives of his friends and family.
Lane was executed by Chancey Luna in August, 2013.
Lane, you will recall, was one of the few white victims of violent black crime to merit a mention by the national media. He was a noted athlete from Australia whose lost his life in Duncan, Oklahoma.
Luna was in a car with two other teens when they decided to kill someone for the thrill. He was found guilty of the crime and will spend the rest of his life in a gated community where he will receive free housing, food, education, and medical care without the possibility of parole.
His companion Michael Jones earlier pleaded guilty to second degree murder. The third is awaiting trial.
