Authorities accuse a black male, Dante Taylor, of stabbing the unarmed women to death. He was allegedly burglarizing the home when the two surprised him.
Opening arguments began Tuesday, September 16, 2014, in Taylor's trial.
The crime was committed July 14, 2013 in Sodus, New York.

Taylor is facing an eight-count indictment charging him with four counts of first-degree murder (based on two different definitions of murder for each death), two counts of first-degree burglary, second-degree arson and third-degree burglary, all felonies.
Items taken from the home and from another nearby home burglarized earlier in the week were found in Taylor's possession, Healy said.
Wayne County Court Judge Daniel Barrett is overseeing the trial.
