Authorities believe Robert Perry and his daughter were followed home Tuesday after cashing a check at the store.
25-year-old Kymberli Lindsay and 20-year-old Saraya Atkins, both said to be from Michigan, are accused in the deadly robbery.
Atkins is the suspected shooter, one news account recalled. She is accused of firing multiple shots from a .375 magnum. One of those bullets killed Perry. Three casings were found at the scene.
Perry was 66 years old. He lived in Coden, Alabama.
