A former police detective with the New York Police Department was asked how to avoid becoming a victim of a knock out attack.
The former cop was careful to state his politicalcorrectnesshood by affirming that not all black teens are randomly knocking people out (paraphrased).
He then went on give CNN's audience the same advice that John Derbyshire gave to his children: Stay away from them!

On Monday morning’s edition of CNN’s New Day, expert guest Harry Houck, a former NYPD detective, went there, explaining to the New Day anchor team that while “not every black kid is doing this,” the only suggestion he could offer to avoid such attacks was “crossing the street, getting away from them” if you see “a group of black youths.”
Next thing you know they'll be advising white people to buy up small towns in North Dakota.
