Carlos Richardson was charged with murdering 20-year-old Candace DeMoss last year. He has been acquitted of murder last week and convicted, instead, of the lesser charge of reckless homicide.
Police said Carlos Richardson shot and killed 20-year-old Candace DeMoss in Cincinnati in November, 2012.
DeMoss was the mother of two preschoolers.
Here obituary read in part, "Beloved daughter of Colleen Mayne and John DeMoss. Devoted mother of Leiazia Sky Tyra and Steven Eric Tyra Jr. Dear sister of Toni Mayne, Shawn DeMoss, Brandon DeMoss, John DeMoss and Michael Goins. Granddaughter of John and Hazel DeMoss. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the age of 20."
