As one who labors without the benefit of an editorial staff to look over my work, I make more than my share of silly typos. And I wonder: Why do the mistakes of others comfort us?

Worst case I've ever seen?
Years ago an Indiana newspaper published a photo of a condemned building that had been demolished. The caption, "Another old eyesore gone," was inadvertently placed under the obituary image of a recently deceased elderly woman.
